In the late 1980's, a weathered guide hunkered down in a hand-dug coffin pit in the bowels of eastern Washington. Exposed to elements and uncomfortable, as dirt and grit roll down the collar of his shirt only to settle in the small of his back. The guide has an idea, "There has to be a better way”. Better for me, better for my customers.

A sleepless three weeks later the "The Slider" takes wing and Ron Latschaw's vision evolves into a whole new genre’ - hunting geese out of a layout blind. Deadly innovation it was and the birth of Final Approach.
